If you were wondering why the drop in my replies to articles in the last year it has been due to my not feeling well. 6 weeks back I started getting a bad cough that left me weak and dizzy, I blew it off as my smoking cigarettes to much so I cut down to a few a day, no improvement. Then 3 weeks later I got laryngitis, after 2 weeks I went into emergency room to see what was wrong. Well to make a long story short I have stage 3 lung cancer, the cancer mass is pressing on the nerve that operates my vocal cords. I am told that I am lucky because the cancer is large cell and is only in my upper left lung so my chance of surviving the cancer is in the 70% range. Look I knew the risk that I was taking when I kept smoking for 53 years, so far its been 9 days without a cigarette. Saturday I got my first chemo treatment and this after noon I go in for my first radiation treatment, the next 6 weeks are going to be hell but gosh darn it I will survive. Now for a little humor.............when they gave me blood tests and my blood came back good my first thought was "gee I have cancer not aids, thats good".
